Course Instructor FAQ

How many courses will be offered?

 

Up to twelve courses will be offered. Additional courses may be considered for future iterations of this event based on the success of this initial effort.

 

Will the College provide needed materials or equipment for the participants?

 

The College will not be sending physical materials to participants. Participants will need to provide their own.

 

Can the College send lists of needed materials or readings via email to the participant before the course?

 

Yes, we are happy to assist you in sending those materials digitally through email.

 

When will courses be taught?

 

The courses will be taught online in February 2021. Dates and times will be coordinated between Course Instructors and The Office of Alumni & Family Engagement.

 

When are course applications due?

 

Applications are due by Friday, November 6, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

 

When will courses be approved?

 

Prospective Course Instructors will be notified by Friday, November 20, 2020.

 

I want to lead a course, but I do not have any teaching experience.

 

That’s fine! We just ask that you are passionate about the topic and work to provide an interactive and engaging environment during the course.

 

My non-alum spouse/friend would like to teach a course. Can they?

 

At this time, we are limiting the teaching of courses to Wooster alumni.
