The Highland Games: Summer Series

The Highland Games was back in July 2021!

Starting on Tuesday, July 6th at 7:00 p.m. ET, teams of four Wooster alumni competed week-after-week on Zoom in increasingly difficult rounds of trivia. Teams were randomly seeded into a tournament bracket and will competed against each other to progress to the next round. Each member of the winning team took home a package of Wooster goodies and bragging rights, of course!

Congratulations to Plaidtime is Over - Katie Jankowski '12, Adam Jankowski '13, Joe Skonce '12, and Andrew Collins '12 - who won The Highland Games Summer Series!

The Highland Games 2.0 - November 2020

In November 2020, 32 teams of Wooster alumni competed in a virtual trivia bracket hosted by The Office of Alumni & Family Engagement!

Teams of four alumni competed against each other, week-after-week, in increasingly challenging games of trivia. Round One began on Thursday, November 5th and continued every Tuesday thereafter until a winning team was crowned. What did the champions win? Highland Games glory, of course, and a package full of Wooster goodies for each member of the winning team!

Congratulations to Viking 5 - Mackie Feierstein '97, Evan Webster '97, Tim Hallett '96, and Ryan Niemeyer '98 - who won The Highland Games 2.0!

In July 2020, 160 Wooster alumni competed in a team-based, virtual trivia bracket hosted by The Office of Alumni & Family Engagement! Here's how it worked:

We updated alumni on the state of the bracket each week until we announced our Highland Games Champion. Here's when the teams competed:

 

  • Round One - Tuesday, July 7th
  • Round Two - Tuesday, July 14th
  • Semifinal Round - Tuesday, July 21st
  • Championship Round - Tuesday, July 28th

Due to overwhelming demand, we maxed out our bracket in one week with 40 teams registered from around the world and across the decades!
