Experiential Education

We designed APEX – our center for Advising, Planning, and Experiential Learning – to be a critical tool for the 21st -century Wooster student. Established in 2012 with a relatively modest investment of $100,000, APEX has already become a model for programs at other colleges and universities. The need: Every Scot can use APEX to integrate intellectual and professional work, and to realize their impact both at Wooster and in the wider world. APEX fellows receive stipends of up to $3,100 to cover travel and living expenses to pursue exciting (but often unpaid) internships. APEX is innovative, productive, and essential to today’s Wooster. It has proved its worth and now deserves robust support.
